On 25 June I presented at the ADE’s Smart 2019 event, hosted by City lawyers Osborne Clarke. My theme was the barriers to adoption of smarter electricity markets with active customer engagement, and I took the opportunity to update the audience on progress with my rule change proposal P379, which is currently undergoing assessment under the Balancing and Settlement Coe and which envisages multiple trading relationships between a customer and suppliers enabled by “meter splitting”.
