UK Power Networks (UKPN) has launched the second round of funding for its £300,000 Power Partners fund, calling on charities and community groups to apply for grants.
The UKPN fund, managed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE), is offering support for not-for-profit organisations in UKPN’s regions of the South East, East of England and London. It is looking to work with organisations aiming to alleviate fuel poverty, improve the energy efficiency of community spaces or support people in vulnerable circumstances by increasing energy resilience.
Groups are able to apply for sums between £2,000 to £20,000, with the deadline for applications midnight on 18 August.
The second round of funding follows a successful first round that was launched in January 2019, where 16 community organisations working with vulnerable people in the UKPN licence area were awarded support.
