Innogy Innovation Hub has invested in ShieldIOT as part of the Internet of Things (IoT) security firm’s funding round, which raised £5mn.
Through its end-to-end software security platform, ShieldIOT is able to ensure service providers can manage the security of IoT devices, applications and networks. The funding round was led by Innogy Innovation Hub, alongside other investors including Danmar Capital, Janvest Capital Partners, and private investors.
Director of Strategic Cyber Security Venturing at Innogy Innovation Hub, Christof Kortz, said: “The IoT enabled energy system will face new multi-layered and complex security challenges.
