NALEP provides £2.65mn to upgrade Snetterton electricity supply

Announced in March 2018, the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (NALEP) has agreed to provide £2.65mn of Capital Growth Programme funding to Breckland Council to contribute to its Snetterton Health Employment Area Electricity Upgrade Scheme.The funding will be used to construct a new substation at the Snetterton site and upgrade electrical cables and infrastructure linking local businesses.

Chief Executive of NALEP Chris Starkie said: “This investment will allow for existing businesses to expand and attract new employers to the area, helping towards our ambition of creating 88,000 new jobs across Norfolk and Suffolk by 2036. […] Boosting the power capability at Snetterton Heath will unlock the site’s potential for growth and, importantly, lead to the creaation of new jobs. This is a really positive development for the local area”.
