Scottish golf courses set for EV charging

Swarco eVolt has joined forces with Scottish Golf to roll out 1,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Scottish golf courses.

On 18 October, Current News reported that a deal had been agreed between the pair, with the provision of the chargers with clean electricity to be provided with Forev. It was noted Forev will cover the cost of installations in the majority of cases. Benefits to golf clubs receiving the chargers were listed as increased footfall and revenue owed to incidental spending by members and visitors while vehicles are charging.

It was also revealed clubs will see £250 per parking bay donated back into their junior sections.
