SSEN makes last call for feedback on Digital Strategy

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has issued a final call for feedback on its Digital Strategy, with the closing date for responses 31 January.

Launched on 9 December, SSEN mapped out its vision to use digital solutions to enhance social and economic value, ensuring that it can deliver both a leading experience for its customers and enable the energy system to reach net zero carbon emissions.

It outlined its digital future across three areas, with the first being a pledge to continue to build digital foundations. This will see SSEN continue building the critical capabilities that will enable it to both meet and exceed its obligations as a leading network operator, while elsewhere, the strategy states SSEN’s intention to champion the value of open data and pilot the secure sharing of data with trusted partners to test and learn. From this, SSEN will also look to enable a competitive marketplace underpinned by open data, ensuring trusted partners have a platform to develop new services for its consumers and build innovative business models.

The responses will shape and improve the strategy, SSEN said, with it set to host stakeholder engagement events this year.
